Remington Horesh, DO, is a board-certified, fellowship-trained vitreoretinal surgeon specializing in the medical and surgical treatment of retinal disorders. This sub-specialization allows him to compliment his fellow surgeons at St. Luke’s in providing The Villages community with complete ocular health care.
Originally from Florida, Dr. Horesh earned his B.S. in Biotechnology alongside a minor in chemistry from the University of Florida. He obtained his medical degree from Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine in Bradenton, FL. Following medical school, Dr. Horesh completed residency training in ophthalmology at the Philadelphia College of Medicine, serving as chief resident. While in Philadelphia, he mentored under leading ophthalmic surgeons at the Wills Eye Hospital. He then completed an advanced two-year medical and surgical fellowship in vitreoretinal surgery at Associates in Ophthalmology in Pittsburgh, PA.
In addition to his formal training, Dr. Horesh benefits from past and present experiences at the forefront of therapeutic advancement in retinal disease. He has served as a treating physician in large-scale clinical trials aimed at discovering new and effective treatments for age-related macular degeneration.
